Beatles Fleece hat!

I made Jude a hat with the left over fabric from the footie pjs. It took about 30 minutes, and would have taken less if I had put the ear flaps on right the first time. I love it! Too bad Jude hates hats.

Beatles Jammies!

I just finished making something using my very first pattern!
I got some Beatles fleece from fabric.com. Sadly, even though according to the pattern these pjs should fit my baby bear, they're probably about 6 inches too long and basically swallow him alive. I guess we'll have to wait till next winter for him to be able to enjoy them! I put in my first zipper with this, and I must say, it was much easier than I was expecting, even without a zipper foot!
I also whipped up an iPad case, but Jude has already basically destroyed it, good thing I have more batting to make another!

Focus!

I've been working on this hooded towel for Jude since I started knitting. Literally, this was the whole reason I learned to knit, and this is from my first cast on. So, months later, this is all I have, cause I get so bored with knitting cause it is so much slower than crochet. It just feels so much nicer!
I really need to focus and stop starting new things before I've finished the other things I started.
That yellow scarf? Still incomplete.
That baby blanket my aunt requested? Taking up room on my table.
The giant monkey afghan for my sister in law (which needs to be done by Christmas)? 10 rows in, 72 more to go, plus a giant border. I'm supposed to do two rows a day, but instead I ripped out 2 and put it away cause I was so upset.
I need to focus.

Self drafted sheet dress!

I swear the bottom of the skirt isn't crooked! I made it from a vintage queen sheet, and I kind of just threw it together and crocheted the strap and belt. I still need to hem the skirt, cause I have trouble with bias tape. It's a full circle skirt, so that should be FUN! I love this dress, and it is definitely my favorite!

Yellow!

I've been working on a scarf since its finally getting cold here. It's made out of Deborah Norville yarn. I started making some fingerless gloves, but since I'm so ADD I pulled it all out and decided on this instead.
The sheet under it is from a thrift store, and I'm totally going to make a skirt out of it. It's super soft.
I haven't made anything retro and I'm disappointed about that, but I'm trying to focus on Christmas presents and using up my giant yarn stash.
That's all! I'm excited to be blogging again!

Last post in 2008?! Oh yeahhhh!

Apparently, I haven't posted in like 3 years. Which is a big woah.
Ok, so big changes:
I had a Jude bear. My whole world, and the reason I lose sleep at night. He's going to kill himself before he's two.
I started to crochet.
Then I started to knit.
Then I decided I would weave.
Never finished weaving the first thing.
Hate knitting, but will uuiik do it cause it's nicer than crochet.
THEN I started sewing, and I LOVE IT! I've never sewn from a pattern, it's too hard to find them in my ready to wear 28. (fatty mc fatfatfat) and in 50s style.
I LOVE 50s ish dresses. I've made two, one of which will not be worn. Ever. I rushed through it and turned it into a pile of shit made out of fabric. I'm not done with the second on since it's a circle skirt and I don't want to hem it, and I'm crocheting a halter strap.
I've mad some skirts and I made a top to a dress I'll be making soon.
Super easy way to make a simple shirt too! I think I'll post a tutorial or something one day!
Its my goal to make posts of what I make, so we'll see if it happens. =D that's it!
